To browse through this site, you do not need to become an Authorised User.

If you, however, wish to use the services of this website, or searching the data base or to obtain detailed information on assets available/ required, you will need to first enrol as an Authorised User, free of charge. You need to enrol just once. Use the ID and password whenever you visit us again. We will not misuse any information you provide us to become an Authorised User (click PRIVACY).

If you also wish to register your buy or sell offer on THE M&A EXCHANGE, you will then need to become our Registered Member, for a fee.

How does THE M&A EXCHANGE work?

Buying an Asset?

Step 1: Enrol as an Authorised User, free of charge.

Step 2: Click Buying.

Step 3: Click Assets Available in the appropriate asset category (Company/ Spare Capacity/ Equipment/ Block Equity/ Industrial Real Estate).

Step 4: Conduct search,free of charge, among given parameters, which will result into a Summary Information Report containing brief details of all assets matching your search parameters.

Step 5: Click in the Summary Information Report specific assets of your interest for which you would like to receive more information.

Step 6: On receiving this request, we will e-mail/courier to you the relevant Contact Information Reports, free of charge, containing more details about the selected assets and whom to contact for further negotiations.(For assets where detailed profiles are available with us, these too would be sent to you).

Step 7: On receipt of the Contact Information Reports, you can contact the sellers directly to negotiate the deal.

Step 8: However, if the search/ Contact Information does not result in any asset matching your need or your deal based on Contact Information does not come through, click Assets Required Registration and register your requirement (for a fee). Such registration shall enable potential sellers to contact you.

Selling an Asset?

Step 1: Enrol as an Authorised User, free of charge.

Step 2: Click Selling.

Step 3: Click Assets Required in the appropriate asset category (Company/ Spare Capacity/ Equipment/ Block Equity/ Industrial Real Estate).

Step 4: Conduct search, free of charge, among given parameters, which will result into a Summary Information Report containing brief details of all registered requirements matching your asset.

Step 5: Click in the Summary Information Report specific requirements matching your asset for which you would like to receive more information.

Step 6: On receiving this request, we will e-mail/courier to you the relevant Contact Information Reports, free of charge, containing more details about the buyers’ requirements and whom to contact for further negotiations.

Step 7: On receipt of the Contact Information Reports, you can contact the buyers directly to negotiate the deal.

What happens if I forget my User ID and Password?

You should either look up any of the e-mails / letters you have received from us as these contain your User ID and Password. Alternatively, you can simply enrol again!

How to find what is available for sale?

The first step is Authorised User enrolment. After enrolment, click Buying. Go through the companies/ assets available for sale. If any assets meet your needs, go ahead and negotiate the deal. There is no fee for accessing or searching this data base. If you do not find an asset of your interest or your deal does not come through, click Assets Required Registration and register your requirement, for a fee.

How to find what requirements for assets have been registered?

Who is a Registered Member?

Anyone who registers his asset/ requirement with THE M&A EXCHANGE automatically becomes a Registered Member.

What assets can be registered for sale/ requirement?

THE M&A EXCHANGE registers offers and requirements of companies. plants, divisions, equipment, spare capacity, block equity and industrial real estate. The following qualifications apply for registrations :

Company/ Plant Minimum Gross Block or Turnover of Rs.2.5 million (Rs.25 lakh)
Equipment Single or collective value of Rs.1 million (Rs.10 lakh)
Block Equity Minimum 1,00,000 shares or Rs.1 million (Rs.10 lakh) in market/ book value
Spare Capacity No minimum requirement
Industrial Real Estate No minimum requirement

How do I register my asset for sale?

The first step is Authorised User enrolment (if you have already enrolled earlier, you do not need to enrol again; just use your ID and password). After enrolment, click Assets Available Registration to go to the page that has the registration details and fee structure. Once you accept the terms and fee, click Registration Form and either submit it on the site or send it to us by e-mail/ courier. Simultaneously, you should arrange to send us the due fee through a DD/ bankers’s cheque, upon receipt of which we shall include your record in the data base. This will make you a Registered Member of THE M&A EXCHANGE. All buyers who are interested in making an offer to you for your asset will do so directly.

How do I register my requirement for assets?

Can I protect my identity as a Registered Member?

If you wish to protect your identity, you can in the Registration Form give the address of your consultant/ advisor or your post box number. Even simpler, you can use THE M&A EXCHANGE as your contact address; all letters/ calls/ e-mails received by us will be forwarded to you at our cost. We will, in no case, disclose your identity to any third party.

How do I come in contact with buyers/ sellers?

Once you register your sell offer or buy requirement, you will be contacted directly by the prospective sellers/ buyers who visit our website and by those who are on our mailing list.

Will I have to pay fee/ commission on completed deals?

You are not required to pay any fee, brokerage or commission to us on the executed deal/s. There is a fee only for registering your sell/ buy offer.

Do I need to provide information on deal conclusion?

As soon as you conclude the deal, please inform us by e-mail/ courier (quote MEX code) so that we can refund you the refundable amount of fee and also remove your listing from the website. You will otherwise continue to get letters/ calls from prospective buyers/ sellers.

AUTHORISED USER & REGISTERED MEMBER AGREEMENT
By enroling as an Authorised User or a Registered Member, you agree to be bound by all the terms of this Agreement.

AUTHORISED USER
Any person/ organisation who upon enrolment searches or uses this website automatically becomes an Authorised User for an indefinite period.

Every User has to enrol separately. As ID and Password are required to access certain parts of the Site, you are not permitted any of the following:
- Sharing your ID and Password.
- Caching any part of the Site in proxy servers, to be accessed by individuals not registered with THE M&A EXCHANGE.
- Allowing multiple users on a network to access through a single ID and password.

On occurance of any of these violations, we reserve the right to forthwith cancel your access rights, without any notice and also block access to all users from the violator IP address.

REGISTERED MEMBER
Any person/ organisation who provides data on an asset for sale or on an asset requirement to THE M&A EXCHANGE for inclusion in its Data Base and this website automatically becomes our Registered Member.

Data Editing
THE M&A EXCHANGE shall be entitled to add to or insert into the data such keywords phrases, indexing fields, technical codes, instructions and other applications and to analyse, edit, group and regroup the data, as may be appropriate for cataloguing and making the data compatible with the structure and search methodology of the data base and this website.

Data Distribution and User Fee
THE M&A EXCHANGE, in the process of disseminating the data or for advertising its services, shall be entitled to use your name as a Registered Member for the source of data, except for such data where you expressely instruct us not to disclose your name,

The Data Base and website shall be made available in any form or manner for use/ search to any person who registers himself with THE M&A EXCHANGE as an Authorised User or as a subscriber of the Data Base/ website. THE M&A EXCHANGE shall be entitled to charge a fee from such users at its discretion and to appropriate the same fully. THE M&A EXCHANGE shall also be entitled to do analysis, reports and summaries of the Data Base for free/ paid use by the media and other interested parties.

Confidentiality
THE M&A EXCHANGE and the Registered Member shall at all times keep confidential any knowhow and information which they may acquire relating to the business or operations of each other and shall not disclose the same to any third party without the prior written consent, except to the extent provided herein.

Force Majeure
THE M&A EXCHANGE shall have no liability towards the buyers, sellers, Authorised Users and Registered Members of this Data Base for any delays or interruptions in accessing the site, for whatever reason.

Right to Change the Agreement
THE M&A EXCHANGE reserves the exclusive right to change or modify the terms of the Agreement at any time. All changes to the data base operations will be notified/ updated in our site. As an Authorised User or Registered Member, it is your responsibility to refer to the terms everytime accessing this service.

Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of this Agreement shall be resolved through an amicable settlement by conciliation, in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and Rules thereunder and shall be conducted by three conciliators to be appointed according to the Conciliation Rules, the third conciliator to be appointed jointly by the two conciliators appointed by the parties. Any unresolved disputes shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Law
This Agreement will be governed by Indian Law and only the courts in New Delhi will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising under this Agreement.

Privacy
THE M&A EXCHANGE respects your personal information. You can visit this site without even telling us who you are. However, if you want to use our services, you will need to give us some information about yourself. We will not contact you if you tell us at the time of registration that you do not wish your personal information to be used by us for any further contact. We undertake not to provide your address as an address or as a part of a mailing list to anyone. Your address and other information will be provided only to the extent entered by you in the Registration Forms.
